Pamela Mobley Black, 74, passed away Tuesday, February 16, 2016 at Savannah Square. She was born in Ohio where she spent her early years. She was a graduate of Miami University of Oxford with a bachelor’s degree, cum laude and masters from the University of Wisconsin-Madison. Pam served as a staff accountant for a CPA firm in Madison and an accountant for the University of Wisconsin Graduate School Research Committee. Pam volunteered at the Net Learning Center at Savannah Tech and at Windsor Forest High School. She also volunteered with her church program in the Vacation Bible School program and in the public school system for 16 years where she adapted computer programs. Pam was a former member of White Bluff United Methodist Church and recently Skidaway Island United Methodist Church. She was also a member of the Neurological Rehabilitation Center, Savannah Post-Polio Support Group, Savannah Artist Guild, Savannah MacIntosh User’s Group, Senior-Net. As a watercolor artist, Pam studied under Peggy Cone and Rebecca Karns Willis.
Surviving are sons, Michael and his wife, Susana Black of Savannah, GA; Paul Black of Ft. Lauderdale, FL; grandchildren, Elliot and Gabriel Black.
The memorial service will be held 3:00 p.m., Friday, February 19, 2016 in the Hodgson Chapel of Fox & Weeks Funeral Directors.
